Quora

Early on in my writing journey, I answered questions on Quora frequently.

I didn’t just randomly post answers, instead, I submitted answers into groups within my desired target audience.

In each answer, I include a personal experience, custom quote, blog post link, and link to my other social channels.

At the time, to promote my new blog, I integrated links into relevant answers on Quora.

Within the first few days, I noticed an insane increase of views on one of my earliest articles.

Because this method has worked well for me in the past, I share answers often and continue to see consistent traffic from Quora.

Interlinking

You might be thinking, —

What the heck is that?

Trust me, I said the same thing. I’ve seen it done before, but never knew it had an official term.

Interlinking is just a fancy way of saying, —

Pasting links onto key words within an article.

These links are commonly resources that drive readers to other articles on your profile.

For example, here’s a screenshot of how I interlink my articles.

Keep in mind that interlinking requires a little finesse.

In the above example, I didn’t just include a random article with no relevance to the discussed topic.

When writing the article, I created a segway into another relevant topic. It’s important to note that readers will click on links that provide an immediate answer to an urgent question.

Speak from Experience

When I started writing on Medium, I didn’t know what to write.

Like most writers, I struggled to find topics I could write about effortlessly. After a few months of trial and error, I decided to write about my experience as a new writer.

Within the first few weeks of posting new content, I began to see positive growth.

The one thing that later revived my Medium blog and motivation was creating content based on what I experienced at the present moment.

The last thing I want you to assume is that you have to create content based on trending topics.

I started writing content for new writers because, as a new writer, I felt that I had something relevant and unique to bring to the table.

My best advice to you is, —

Be genuine. Add your unique flare to trending topics, and don’t be afraid to share our thoughts, expertise, and perspectives.

To my fellow content creators: If you want someone to check out your work, send it my way! I love meeting new people and supporting others. Never hesitate to reach out, my door is always open! Peace and love!
